Gilman Springs Rd Resurfacing

Gilman Springs Rd Resurfacing

Project Description

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 1,100 feet of Gilman Springs Road from the SH-79 north bound on/off ramps to 1,100 feet in the south easterly direction. Gilman Springs Road is a secondary highway with one lane in each direction. Gilman Springs Road varies in width and the proposed work does not include any widening of the existing roadway.

The proposed improvements consist of both milling the existing Asphalt Concrete (AC) and overlaying with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) as well as removing the current AC Dike and replacing it with an HMA Dike.

The proposed project will be constructed within California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) right-of-way and the County will coordinate with Caltrans for an encroachment permit.  The area in the immediate vicinity is undeveloped and there is no proposed vegetation removal.
