Soboba Street Resurfacing

Soboba St Resurfacing

Limits: Stetson Avenue to Florida Avenue (SR-74) Length: Approximately 1.21 miles District: 3 Community: East Hemet

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 1.21 miles of Soboba Street from Stetson Avenue to Florida Avenue (SR-74). Soboba Street is classified as a Secondary Highway. Soboba Street is a 26 to 51 foot, two lane road with 66 to 88 feet of right of way. The proposed project will include: cold plane of the existing pavement and placing back Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) pavement; removal of the existing asphalt and aggregate base in areas (dig out areas) and placing back aggregate base, Hot Mix Asphalt base course, and RHMA overlay to reconstruct the pavement section.

Additional improvements include:

· Pedestrian ramp upgrades to meet current ADA standards

· Reconstruction of existing concrete and asphalt driveways, asphalt concrete berm/dike, cross gutter and spandrels, and curb and gutter

· Re-grading and widening of drainage ditch on the west side of Soboba Street at Florida Avenue (SR-74) within existing right-of-way (approximately 500 linear feet)

· Utility adjustments and cleaning/clearing of existing catch basins and culverts

· Striping of roadway

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements (TCE) will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will be within the existing footprint of the roadway and will not raise the roadway profile.
