Limits: Santa Fe Street to Hemet Street Length: Approximately 2.25 miles District: 3 Community: East Hemet

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 2.25 miles of Stetson Avenue from Santa Fe Street to Soboba Street. Stetson Avenue is classified as a Major Highway. Stetson is a 40 to 75 foot, two lane road with 66 to 100 feet of right of way. The proposed project will include: cold plane of the existing pavement and placing back Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) pavement; removal of the existing asphalt and aggregate base in areas (dig out areas) and placing back aggregate base, Hot Mix Asphalt, and RHMA to reconstruct the pavement section.

Additional improvements include:

· Pedestrian ramp upgrades to meet current ADA standards

· Reconstruction of existing concrete and asphalt driveways, asphalt concrete berm/dike, cross gutter and spandrels, and curb and gutter

· Traffic signal modifications at Girard Street, Columbia Street, Dartmouth Street, Bulldog Way (Hemet High School), and Stanford Street

· Utility adjustments

· Striping of roadway

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements (TCE) will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will be within the existing footprint of the roadway and will not raise the roadway profile.
