Length: Approximately 1650 feet (Chiriaco Road 750 feet and Summit Road 900 feet)
District: 4

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 1650 feet of Chiriaco Road and Summit Road. Chiriaco Road and Summit Road are both classified as Local Roads in the County of Riverside General Plan. Chiriaco Road and Summit Road are two lane roads and are 32 feet wide each. The proposed improvements consist of removing the existing roadway and placing back Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

Additional improvements include:

  • Reconstruction of asphalt concrete dike, driveway, and apron

  • Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvement. The project improvements will not raise the existing roadway profile. Note: Caltrans Permit was needed for work being done adjacent to the bridge going over the I-10.
