Resurfacing Projects

52nd Avenue Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 0.38 miles of 52nd Avenue from Fillmore Street to 0.38 miles west of Fillmore Street. 52nd Avenue is classified as an Urban Arterial in the County of Riverside General Plan. 52nd Avenue is a two lane road and currently ranges from 24-42 feet wide. The proposed project will include Cold-In-Place Recycling (CIR) the roadway width, and overlaying the (CIR) material with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).  

 Additional improvements include:

·       Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing
·       Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors
·       Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements.

Environmental Clearance: November 2018
Final Design: July 2018
Construction Start: September 2019
Construction Completion: November 2019
