Grand Avenue Road Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 2,200 feet of Grand Avenue from Machado Street to Plumas Street. Grand Avenue is classified as Major Road in the County of Riverside General Plan. Grand Avenue is a two lane road that varies from 32-76 feet wide with curb/gutter and sidewalk at various segments of the roadway. The proposed project will include sealing cracks and overlaying the roadway with Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA).

Additional improvements include:  

·         Reconstruction of the roadway at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Plumas Street
·         Construction of concrete curb ramp, spandrel, asphalt concrete dike, and driveway
·         Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing
·         Utility adjustments
·         Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors
·         Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will raise the existing roadway profile by 0.17 feet.
