Resurfacing Projects

18th Avenue Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 950 feet of 18th Avenue from 600 feet west of Langlois Road to 300 feet east of Langlois Road. 18th Avenue is classified as a Secondary Highway in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. 18th Avenue is 32 feet wide with curb/gutter along various segments of the roadway. The proposed project will include removing the roadway and placing back Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). 

The proposed project will also include:

  • Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing

  • Utility adjustments

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will remain within the existing footprint of the roadway.

PROJECT SCHEDULE 

Environmental Clearance: November 2019
Final Design: October 2019
Construction Start: May 2020
Construction Completion: June 2020
