Resurfacing Projects

Corkill Road Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 2,600 feet of Corkill Road from Dillon Road to half a mile south of Dillon Road. Corkill Road is classified as a Local Street in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. Corkill Road currently ranges from 23-57 feet wide with curb/gutter along various segments of the roadway. The proposed project will include removing the roadway and placing back Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). 

The proposed project will also include:

  • Replacement of some curb/gutter

  • Improvements to existing drainage conditions

  • Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing

  • Utility adjustments

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

  • Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

No additional right-of-way will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will remain within the existing footprint of the roadway.

PROJECT SCHEDULE 

Environmental Clearance: November 2019
Final Design: October 2019
Construction Start: May 2020
Construction Completion: June 2020
