Resurfacing Projects

Thomas Street Reconstruction

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to reconstruct approximately 550 feet of Thomas Street from Fairview Avenue to approximately 550 feet east of Fairview Avenue. Thomas Street is classified as a local road in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. Thomas Street is currently 32 feet wide with curb/gutter on each side of the roadway. The proposed project will include removing the roadway and placing back Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) over aggregate base.

The proposed project will also include:

  • Reconstruction of concrete spandrel and cross gutter

  • Utility adjustments

  • Striping of roadway

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will remain within the existing footprint of the roadway and will not raise the existing roadway profile.
