El Sobrante Resurfacing Project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Riverside County Transportation Department will resurface approximately 5.8 miles of roadway on  El Sobrante Road from La Sierra Avenue to Cajalco Road in the Lake Mathews community. The project starts with single lane closures and flagging for motorists, followed by a 2-week full road closure.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES

Monday, January 5 through end of January
Nightly | 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Nighttime lane closures are planned in the project area with flaggers assisting motorists through the construction area. 

ROAD CLOSURE

January 31 through February 14

Work hours during the road closure: Daily | 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A road closure is planned on El Sobrante from La Sierra Avenue to just before  McAllister Parkway; the intersections will remain open.

To access the Victoria Grove neighborhood residents must use El Sobrante Road or McAllister Street, please follow directional signage.


 

Neighboring Projects

The Cajalco Road Guardrail Project from Temescal Canyon Road to La Sierra Avenue is expected to begin Monday, Dec. 1. The project teams are working together to coordinate schedules and traffic control.
