Expect the inside northbound and southbound lanes on Van Buren Blvd. to be closed. Please reduce speed through the construction zone.

·         Please plan for delays and use alternate routes.   

Work schedules may change due to weather or field conditions.  

Crews may work 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Construction Update: Cornell Street – East Hemet

We have completed the concrete improvements and replaced the asphalt pavement on Cornell Street from Florida Avenue to Crest Drive Avenue in the Community of East Hemet.

The contractor is currently working on the asphalt driveway tie-ins and cleaning the project site. Traffic striping is scheduled for the second week of January 2025.

Please observe all construction warning signs, use caution, and follow the directions of the traffic control staff to ensure safety.

Construction Update: Oleander Avenue – Mead Valley

We have recently started the road widening and new sidewalk project on Oleander Avenue from Haines Street to Clark Street in the Community of Mead Valley. The project is scheduled for completion in February 2025.

Currently, the contractor is working on the construction of new concrete Curb & Gutter.

Please observe all construction warning signs, use caution, and follow the directions of the traffic control staff to ensure safety.

We are pleased to announce the completion of pavement reconstruction and concrete improvements on Grant Street and Harlow Avenue in the Home Gardens area. Traffic striping is scheduled for next week.

Slurry Seal FY24-25 District 4,5 - Weekly Status

- Three slurry crews working in Palm Springs, Bermuda Dunes, Beaumont, and Thermal.

- Crack sealing is now complete throughout the project.

- Slurry in Calimesa on Saturday and Sunday

Crews are scheduled to resume on January 02, 2025 to pave new asphalt pavement. We are continuing the pavement reconstruction and concrete improvements on Indiana Avenue, Grant Street, and Harlow Avenue in the Home Gardens area. Crews are scheduled to complete the replacement of asphalt pavement on Harlow Avenue on 12/27/24. This project is scheduled to complete in February 2025.
