We started the Soboba Street Resurfacing project and are working on concrete curb & gutter, cross-gutter, and drainage from Mayberry Avenue to Florida Avenue in the East Hemet area. The contractor is scheduled to remove existing asphalt surface and pave new asphalt starting September 6, 2022 from Stetson Avenue to Florida Avenue. Please use caution and observe traffic warning signs while travelling through.
The contractor and Edison are doing minor work and cleaning the project site this week. We are scheduled to remove existing asphalt on Dexter Avenue on September 7, 2022 and pave new asphalt on September 10, 2022. Thank you for your understanding.
Mountain View Road shall be opened by 9/3/2022. We are working with the contractor to properly open the road at end of 9/2/2022.
We completed majority of concrete work in the City of Desert Hot Springs area. The contractor is aggressively with the reconstruction of Mountain View Road from Dillon Road to Hacienda Avenue. Mountain View Road is CLOSED to through traffic until September 3, 2022. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are working aggressively on the construction of the new proposed bridge and solving utility conflicts. The construction progress is moving well. Reminder: Briggs Road from Leon Road to Los Alamos Road is CLOSED.
Crews will be placing concrete for the retaining wall footings in the early morning hours of Fri., Sept., 2 beginning at 12 a.m. through 10 a.m. at Jurupa Road and Jurupa Detour Road. Please watch for trucks entering and exiting the jobsite, and noise associated with construction activity.

We completed about 90% of San Jacinto Avenue improvements from Thornton Avenue to Florida Avenue in the East Hemet area. The contractor is scheduled to complete Mayberry Avenue sidewalk project this week. Thank you all for your outstanding supports and understanding.
The contractor is currently working on the replacement of concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, cross-gutter, and other improvements on Mountain View Road in the City of Desert Hot Springs. We are scheduled to install new concrete Dip Crossing and will have to close Mountain View Road on 24 AUGUST 2022 for 10 to 14 days. We provided Construction Notice and will place signage for detour route as soon as possible.
We completed the replacement of asphalt pavement on San Jacinto Avenue from Florida Avenue to Thornton Avenue in the east Hemet area. The contractor is scheduling to paint traffic stripe, pavement markings, and other minor improvements this week. Please continue use caution while travelling through the work zone. Leon Road and Max Gilliss Blvd. Resurfacing is nearly completed pending some minor work. The contractor is continuing with the construction of the proposed bridge, culverts, traffic signal system, and various drainage systems for Clinton Keith Road from Leon Road to Winchester Road/Benton Road in the French Valley/Murrieta area.
The contractor is actively constructing new a proposed bridge over French Valley Creek, Culverts, earthwork, and traffic signals for Clinton Keith Road connecting from Leon Road to Winchester Road (SR 79)/Benton Road. Note: Briggs Road from Leon Road to Los Alamos is CLOSED.
Majority of concrete work including sidewalk, curb & gutter, cross-gutter, and driveways has been completed. The contractor is working on the remaining sidewalk and storm drainage structures. Please continue use caution while travelling through the work zone. We are scheduling to remove the existing roadway starting on 19 August 2022 and are scheduled to pave the new roadway during the weekend (material and weather pending.) We will do our best to accommodate school traffic for Temescal Canyon High School including work on weekends. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Thank you everyone for a successful project! With outstanding supports from survey, material lab, and other county staff the contractor was able to complete this project about a month early. Thanks to the public for cooperation and understanding during construction.
We completed about 80% of concrete sidewalk, Curb & Gutter, Cross-Gutter and Driveways along El Toro Road and Dexter Avenue in the North Lake Elsinore area. The contractor is continuing construction new proposed sidewalk and replacing Storm Drain Inlets on Dexter Avenue. Please continue use caution and observe construction warning signs at various locations.
