Temescal Canyon Road Widening Update

May 23, 2019

The contractor is currently working on storm drains, utility relocations, retaining walls, and curb & gutter along Temescal Canyon Road from Dawson Canyon Road to Dos Lagos Drive.

Current Construction and Traffic Restrictions

The final water main is being relocated just north of Dawson Canyon Road. Traffic at this location is being directed to use the

west side of the road.

Various utility and storm drain locations along the street are being worked on. Trac agging operations will direct traffic as needed to allow crews to work on the street at those locations.

Curbs and gutters are being installed at various locations throughout the project area.

A 400-foot long decorative retaining wall is being constructed south of Dos Lagos Drive. The nal section of this wall will be poured Friday, May 24. The mural relief on the wall includes a stagecoach on a backdrop of hillsides representing the historical Butterfield Overland Mail Route that traveled this route during the 1850s.
