• Sidewalk removal & replacement on Coahuilla St & Date Palm

We’re making steady progress on the new park and greening initiative at the corner of 2nd Ave, Hammond Rd, and 66th Ave! This exciting project will bring 175 new trees 🌲, a full irrigation system, and a vibrant new park space to the Community of Mecca.

Curb & gutter construction
Sidewalk installation 🚶♀️
Park area grading
Irrigation system setup across various streets
🚧 Please observe posted construction signs and use caution when traveling through the area. Your patience and support help us build a greener, safer, and more welcoming community.

🌳 Mecca Park & Greening Project Update 🌳
Work continues on the Community of Mecca Park and Greening Project, which will bring 175 new trees, a full irrigation system, and a beautiful new park at 2nd Ave., Hammond Rd., and 66th Ave.
Crews are currently:
✅ Installing curb & gutter
✅ Building sidewalks
✅ Grading the park area
✅ Installing irrigation on various streets
💡 Note: Due to high temperatures, crews are starting work at 5:00 AM.
⚠️ Please follow construction warning signs and use caution in the area.

Crews will be grading new walkways, curbs, gutters, and installing the irrigation system throughout the project area.
