🚧 Project Update - Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge 🚧

We’re making steady progress on the Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge over the French Valley Channel in the Community of French Valley!


🌉 This new bridge will span the current gap along Skyview Road, creating a vital connection between the French Valley Library 📚 (northwest side) and Susan LaVorgna Elementary School 🏫 (southeast corner of Skyview & Via Santiago/Algarve Ave).


🚶‍♀️🚴 Designed for pedestrians and bicyclists, the bridge will offer safe, multipurpose access—only emergency vehicles will be permitted.


🔧 Crews are actively installing steel and formwork, and the project remains on schedule.


📝 Heads-up: Concrete placement will begin in the next two weeks, once cooler temperatures allow. Exact date/time to be announced. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

🚧 Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge Update – French Valley 🚧

Construction is moving forward on the new pedestrian bridge over French Valley Channel! This bridge will connect the French Valley Library to Susan LaVorgna Elementary School, providing a safe path for both pedestrians and bicyclists, with emergency vehicle access only.

Crews are currently building the falsework (temporary support structure) and the project is on schedule for completion in Summer 2026.

French Valley Library (NW side)

Susan LaVorgna Elementary School (SE corner of Skyview Rd & Via Santiago/Algarve Ave)

🚶‍♀️🚲 Designed for pedestrians and cyclists, the bridge will exclude regular vehicular traffic, except for emergency services.

This new bridge will span a current gap along Skyview Road, creating a safe, multipurpose path connecting French Valley Library on the northwest side to Susan LaVorgna Elementary School on the southeast corner of Skyview Road & Via Santiago/Algarve Ave. Designed for pedestrians and bicyclists only, it will also allow access for emergency vehicles—no regular car traffic.

This new bridge will span the existing gap along Skyview Road, creating a connection between the French Valley Library (on the northwest side) and Susan LaVorgna Elementary School (at the southeast corner of Skyview Road and Via Santiago/Algarve Avenue).

The bridge is designed to provide safe, multipurpose access for pedestrians and bicyclists, while allowing emergency vehicle access only—no regular vehicle traffic.
