Limits: Indiana Avenue to Magnolia Avenue
Length:  Approximately 2,300 feet
District: 1
Community: Home Gardens

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to reconstruct approximately 2,300 feet of McKinley Street from Indiana Avenue to Magnolia Avenue. McKinley Street is classified as a Secondary Road in the County of Riverside General Plan. McKinley Street is a four lane road that is 64 feet wide with curb/gutter and sidewalk on each side of the roadway. The proposed improvements consist of removing the existing roadway, cement treating the base, and overlaying Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

Additional improvements include:

  • Reconstruction of damaged concrete spandrel, curb/gutter, sidewalk, and non-compliant ADA curb ramps

  • Detector loops

  • Utility adjustments

  • Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will not raise the existing roadway profile.
