Borel Road Resurfacing
Limits: 200 feet North of Buck Road to Auld Road
Length: Approximately 1 mile
District: 3
Community: French Valley
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 1 mile of Borel Road from 200 feet North of Buck Road to Auld Road. Borel Road is classified as a Major Highway in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. Borel Road currently ranges from 26-52 feet wide with dike at various segments of the roadway. The proposed project will include pulverizing the roadway width and overlaying the pulverized material with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Additionally, up to 6 feet of the dirt shoulder near the intersection of Borel Road and Auld Road will be pulverized and overlaid with HMA to provide paved shoulders for bicyclist.
The proposed project will include:
· Construction of some driveway tie-ins
· Reconstruction of asphalt concrete dike and inlet
· Placement of overside drain, safety edge, and shoulder backing
· Utility adjustments
· Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors
· Salvage/removal and installation of new signs
No additional right-of-way will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will not be within the existing footprint of the roadway and will raise the existing roadway profile by 0.45 feet.
