Resurfacing Projects

Harrison Street Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 1 mile of Harrison Street from 54th Avenue to Airport Boulevard. Harrison Street is classified as an Expressway in the County of Riverside General Plan. Harrison Street is a two lane road and currently ranges from 48-58 feet wide. The proposed improvements consist of Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR) the roadway and overlaying with Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA).

Additional improvements include:

  • Reconstruction of asphalt concrete driveway

  • Placement of shoulder backing and safety edge

  • Detector loops

  • Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will raise the existing roadway profile by 0.17 feet.
