Dartmouth Street Resurfacing

Limits: Crest Drive to SR-74
Length: Approximately 1.7 miles
District: 3
Community: East Hemet

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 1.70 miles of Dartmouth Street from Crest Drive to SR-74.  Dartmouth Street is classified as a Local Road in the County of Riverside General Plan. Dartmouth Street is a two lane road and currently ranges from 24-44 feet wide with curb/gutter and sidewalk along various segments of the roadway. The proposed improvements consist of removing the existing roadway and paving back with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

Additional improvements include:

  • Slurry seal

  • Construction or reconstruction of curb/gutter, sidewalk, driveway, cross gutter, spandrel, and ADA compliant curb ramps

  • Construction or reconstruction of asphalt concrete dike

  • Detector loops

  • Utility adjustments

  • Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

  • Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will not raise the existing roadway profile.
