Construction of the Carver Tract Sidewalk & Drainage improvements resumed on September 14, 2022. The contractor closed Luzon Street from 48th Avenue to Lingayan Avenue for the construction of an underground storm drain detention system. Please use detour routes.
The proposed Clinton Keith Road from Leon Road to Winchester Road/Benton Road is progressing on schedule. The contractor is continuing construction on a new bridge over French Valley Creek, earthwork, and other improvements. Note: Briggs Road from Leon Road to Los Alamos Road is still CLOSED.
We completed the replacement of the asphalt surface on El Toro Road and Dexter Avenue in the North Lake Elsinore area. Edison is still working on upgrading and relocating its facilities. The contractor is repairing the dirt shoulder and cleaning up the area due to recent rain events. Please use caution while travelling through the work zone. The contractor is continuing with the reconstruction of asphalt pavement in the City of Desert Hot Springs portion and is scheduled to pave top layer of asphalt on Thursday, September 15, 2022 if weather permits. Note: Mountain View Road is opened to traffic. Please continue use caution while travelling through due to uneven and “dirt” surfaces. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Crews will be placing concrete for the the storm water pump station early Monday morning at 6 a.m., weather permitting. Contractors will also be working on the west side of Felspar Street to relocate utilities, Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 12 - 14 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We completed the drainage system and all concrete facilities. From September 6, the contractor is scheduled to remove existing asphalt pavement on Soboba Street from Stetson Avenue towards Florida Avenue in the East Hemet area. The roadway surface will be uneven dirt, please use caution and observe construction warning signs while traveling through the work zone. Please use an alternate route if possible. We completed the construction of the concrete Dip Section crossing Mountain View Road, and paved the new bottom layer of asphalt from Dillon Road towards City of Desert Hot Springs. The contractor is continuing with the reconstruction of asphalt pavement in the City of Desert Hot Springs and scheduled to pave the top layer of asphalt soon. We are working with Southern California Edison (SCE) to relocate or upgrade SCE’s facilities within our new proposed sidewalk. There will be electrical outages (SCE will notified affected residents). The contractor is scheduled to grind existing pavement and pave new asphalt on El Toro Road and Dexter Avenue in the North Lake Elsinore area from September 7th to September 10th (Saturday). We started the Soboba Street Resurfacing project and are working on concrete curb & gutter, cross-gutter, and drainage from Mayberry Avenue to Florida Avenue in the East Hemet area. The contractor is scheduled to remove existing asphalt surface and pave new asphalt starting September 6, 2022 from Stetson Avenue to Florida Avenue. Please use caution and observe traffic warning signs while travelling through.
The contractor and Edison are doing minor work and cleaning the project site this week. We are scheduled to remove existing asphalt on Dexter Avenue on September 7, 2022 and pave new asphalt on September 10, 2022. Thank you for your understanding.
Mountain View Road shall be opened by 9/3/2022. We are working with the contractor to properly open the road at end of 9/2/2022.
We completed majority of concrete work in the City of Desert Hot Springs area. The contractor is aggressively with the reconstruction of Mountain View Road from Dillon Road to Hacienda Avenue.
