We replaced close to a half mile of asphalt pavement with one layer of new asphalt on Long Canyon Road from Quail Trail towards Dillon Road in the Community of Southeast Desert Hot Springs. Next week, the contractor will continue removing existing asphalt pavement and replacing with new asphalt for about 3/4 mile. Please observe construction warning signs and use caution while travelling through the work zone.

Construction continues on 6 new storm drain catch basins on Felspar Street north of Jurupa Road, weather permitting. Please note the "No Parking" signs and sidewalk closures/detours for pedestrians. ALL BUSINESS ACCESS IS OPEN.

We are continuing with the pavement rehabilitation project to Johnston Avenue from San Jacinto Street to Stanford Street in the East Hemet area. Contractor is working on asphalt dike along the road and preparing for the installation of traffic stripe and pavement markings. Please use caution and observe construction warning signs while travelling through the work areas. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
The contractor is continuing with hauling debris to disposal sites and cleaning up the areas (weather permitting). The road/bridge is no longer accessible for traffic as well as pedestrians. Please DO NOT ENTER the demolished area.

DAYTIME ROAD CLOSURE: TRAFFIC IMPACTS
Detroit Street will be closed to through traffic at Hamner Avenue during daytime work.

Use alternate routes, add extra time for travel, and follow detour for local access.
PROJECT REMINDER:
REDUCE SPEED to 35 mph in the project area, watch for crews working on the shoulder from Detroit to Citrus streets, along the length of the bridge, and in the center median from Alhambra to Detroit streets.

We are continuing with the pavement rehabilitation project to Johnston Avenue from San Jacinto Street to Stanford Street in the East Hemet area.
