Airport Boulevard Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 1 mile of Airport Boulevard from Van Buren Street to Harrison Street. Airport Boulevard is classified as an Urban Arterial in the County of Riverside General Plan. Airport Boulevard is a two lane road that is 40 feet wide. The proposed improvements consist of Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR) the roadway and overlaying with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

Additional improvements include:

• Reconstruction of concrete curb ramp, driveway, and asphalt concrete driveway

• Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing

• Utility adjustments

• Detector loops

• Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

• Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will raise the existing roadway profile by 0.30 feet.
