Yale Street Resurfacing

The County of Riverside Transportation Department proposes to resurface approximately 1.24 miles of Yale Street from Crest Drive to Hemet City Limits, approximately 350 feet north of Acacia Avenue.  Yale Street is classified as a Local Road in the County of Riverside General Plan. Yale Street is a two lane road and currently ranges from 24-44 feet wide with curb/gutter and sidewalk along various segments of the roadway. The proposed improvements consist of removing the existing roadway and paving back with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

Additional improvements include:

• Construction or reconstruction of curb/gutter, sidewalk, driveway, cross gutter, spandrel, and ADA compliant curb ramps

• Construction or reconstruction of asphalt concrete dike

• Detector loops

• Utility adjustments

• Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors

• Salvage/removal and installation of new signs

No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will not raise the existing roadway profile.
