Rancho California Road Resurfacing

The Riverside County Transportation Department (RCTD) proposes to resurface Rancho California Road from Monte De Oro Rd to Buck Rd (approximately 0.90 miles). Rancho California Rd. is currently a two lane road with a width varying from 27 to 64 feet. The road travels in a West-East direction and is classified as a Mountain Arterial Highway per the County of Riverside General Plan. Improvements will include consist of pulverizing the existing roadway, removing some of the pulverized material, followed by placement of new Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and a final cap of Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA)


Additional work includes:

·         Replacement of Asphalt Concrete over-side drain

·         Replacement of Asphalt Concrete Dikes

·         Removal and Reconstruction of Concrete Spandrel

·         Removal and Reconstruction AC Driveways

·         Place Shoulder Backing and safety edge

·         Re-applying striping and pavement markers

·         Remove/salvage and replace signs


No additional Right of Way nor Temporary Construction Easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The road profile will be raised by approximately 0.17’ throughout the project limits. New impervious area will be under 5,000 square feet.
