Grand Avenue Resurfacing
Limits: Plumas Street to Patrick Court
Length: Approximately 5,000 feet
District: 1
Community: Lake Elsinore
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 5,000 feet of Grand Avenue from Plumas Street to Patrick Court. Grand Avenue is classified as a Major Highway in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. Grand Avenue is a four lane road and currently ranges from 38’-78’ wide with mostly curb and gutter. The proposed project will include milling the existing Asphalt Concrete (AC) pavement down and repaving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA). A portion of the existing roadway will only be overlaid with RHMA.
Additional improvements include:
Reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, spandrel, curb/gutter, and non ADA compliant curb ramps
Reconstruction of asphalt concrete dike
Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing
Utility adjustments
Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors
Salvage/removal and installation of new signs
Relocate pedestrian crossing buttons
No additional right-of-way, permits to enter and construct (PEC), or temporary construction easements (TCE) will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will raise most of the existing roadway profile by 0.15 feet.
