Lincoln Street Pavement Restoration and Sidewalk Project

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to reconstruct approximately 1.78 miles of the existing pavement along Lincoln Street from 5th Street to 62nd Avenue and to widen Lincoln Street between 5th Street and 7th Street to construct curb, gutter, and sidewalk. Lincoln Street is classified as a Secondary Highway. Lincoln Street is a 24 to 46 foot, two lane road with 60 to 100 feet of right of way. The proposed project will include: pulverizing the existing asphalt concrete pavement width and overlaying the pulverized material with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) base pavement and Asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM), removal of the existing asphalt concrete pavement and underlying material and reconstruct with HMA, ARHM, and cement treated soil, removal of the existing asphalt and underlying material and reconstruct with HMA, ARHM, aggregate base, and pavement geosynthetic layer.
Additional improvements include:
· Widening of the roadway and construction of curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb ramps, and driveway connections between 5th Street and 7th Street
· Pedestrian ramp upgrades to meet current ADA standards
· Relocation and adjustments of utilities
· Relocation of fences
· Salvage/removal and installation of signs
· Striping of roadway
Right-of-way on the east side of Lincoln Street between 5th Street and 7th Street was secured prior to the project design and no temporary construction easements (TCE) will be required to construct the proposed improvements.

Final Design: December 2020
Construction Start: July 2021
Construction Completion: October 2021
