🚧 Project Update - Slurry Seal and Curb Ramp Accessibility Project 🛣️

We’ve started our Slurry Seal & Curb Ramp Replacement Project across several streets in Riverside County. Work runs from August 4 to December 2025.


📍 Current areas:


Nuevo (District 5)


Woodcrest (District 2) Crews are applying slurry seal, sealing cracks, and removing old striping.


📬 Residents will get:


A notification letter


A door hanger


No Parking signs with exact work dates


⚠️ Please drive carefully, follow signs and traffic staff, and stay safe near work zones.

🚧 Chip Seal Schedule - Sep 2-4🚧

Roadwork is underway between La Sierra and Woods from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Expect delays of up to 10 minutes as crews manage traffic with a pilot car and flagging operation.

👷‍♀️ The contractor will maintain a 1-mile lane closure during active construction. Your patience helps keep everyone safe and the project moving smoothly!

📍 Location: La Sierra to Woods

🕘 Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

🚗 Delay: Up to 10 minutes

🚧 Roadway Enhancements Are Coming! 🛠️ We’re kicking off an asphalt pavement preservation (Slurry Seal) and curb ramp replacement program across various streets in the County of Riverside from August 4 through December 2025.

📬 Residents will receive:
A general notification letter

Follow-ups via door hangers

No Parking signs posted with actual work dates

Slurry Seal FY24-25 District 4,5 - Weekly Status

- The slurry crew is working in Cabazon area.

- The striping crew is also working in Cabazon area.

- Due to the weather, some of the work was delayed and schedule to be done by next week.

- Extra work, install additional channelizers on Yucca /lane in Bermuda Dunes, will be done soon.

- Three slurry crews working in Palm Springs, Bermuda Dunes, Beaumont, and Thermal.

- Crack sealing is now complete throughout the project.

- Slurry in Calimesa on Saturday and Sunday

- Repair/upgrade curb ramp throughout the project to meet ADA standard is completed.

- Weed Abatement in Districts 1,2 and 3 is completed.

- Type I and II slurry seal in the Woodcrest area is completed.

- Type I and Type II MSE in the Temescal Valley area is completed.

- Pavement Markings and the Second coat of striping in the Murrieta Hot Springs has been completed.

- Asphalt repairs throughout the project have been completed.

- Chip seal in the Highgrove area has been completed.

- Crews will place type 1 & 2 slurry seal in Highgrove area over the chip seal.

- Crews will begin the placement of the Type II slurry seal on La Sierra and Blackburn.

- Striping and pavement markings will continue to be installed in the Temescal Canyon area and Riverside area.

- Raised pavement markers (RPM) are being installing throughout the project.

- Crews will continue with the application of Type I & II in the Highgrove and Riverside area.

- Crews will continue with post sweeping throughout the project.

- Crack seal treatment continued w/two crews in Palm Desert to stay ahead of slurry team.

- Type 2 slurry seal work changed from Cabazon to Hemet.

- Crew worked on Saturday doing Type 2 slurry seal in Thousand Palms.

- CTI finished all striping punch list items at Lake Cahuilla. Just need water valve cover cleaned and load of excavated garbage removed to close out D5-0017.

- Two Crack seal crews scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Redlands.

- Two crack seal crews and one slurry crew scheduled to continue Monday in Hemet.
