Slurry Seal FY24-25 District 1,2,3 - Weekly Status



- Repair/upgrade curb ramp throughout the project to meet ADA standard is completed.

- Weed Abatement in Districts 1,2 and 3 is completed.

- Type I and II slurry seal in the Woodcrest area is completed.

- Type I and Type II MSE in the Temescal Valley area is completed.

- Pavement Markings and the Second coat of striping in the Murrieta Hot Springs has been completed.

- Asphalt repairs throughout the project have been completed.

- Chip seal in the Highgrove area has been completed.

- Crews will place type 1 & 2 slurry seal in Highgrove area over the chip seal.

- Crews will begin the placement of the Type II slurry seal on La Sierra and Blackburn.

- Striping and pavement markings will continue to be installed in the Temescal Canyon area.

- Crews will continue with the application of Type I & II in the Highgrove and Riverside area.

- Crews will start and complete the application of the MSE Type II in Lake Elsinore area.

- Crews will continue with post sweeping throughout the project.

- Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and follow traffic control staff’s directions while travelling through the work zone. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Indiana Avenue, Grant Street, Harlow Avenue Resurfacing - Project Update

We have begun pavement reconstruction and concrete improvements on Indiana Avenue, Grant Street, and Harlow Avenue in the Home Gardens area. The contractor is currently working on concrete cross-gutters, curb & gutter, and some curb ramps on Harlow Avenue.

This project is scheduled for completion in February 2025. Please observe all construction warning signs, use caution, and follow the directions of traffic control staff to ensure safety during this time.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve these roadways.

NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES PLANNED on Ramona Expressway at Bridge St.

Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 

9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

One lane on Ramona Expressway will be closed near Bridge Street. All traffic will be shifted to the other lane with flaggers assisting vehicles through the traffic control.

Please reduce speed and plan for delays.  

Gilman Springs Road is open to through traffic.

- Crack seal treatment continued w/two crews in Palm Desert to stay ahead of slurry team.

- Type 2 slurry seal work changed from Cabazon to Hemet.

- Crew worked on Saturday doing Type 2 slurry seal in Thousand Palms.

- CTI finished all striping punch list items at Lake Cahuilla. Just need water valve cover cleaned and load of excavated garbage removed to close out D5-0017.

- Two Crack seal crews scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Redlands.

- Two crack seal crews and one slurry crew scheduled to continue Monday in Hemet.

State Route 60 Truck Lanes project by RCTC, Construction Update, Week of December 2, 2024

Nighttime alternating lane closures of eastbound 60 between Moreno Valley and Beaumont are scheduled the week of December 2.  www.rctc.org

The closures are needed to safely allow construction crews to perform roadway work. No detour will be required since one lane will remain open. Please allow for extra travel time. Closure details below:

Van Buren Blvd. Resurfacing - Weekly Status

Van Buren Blvd. Resurfacing - Weekly Status

We completed the pavement reconstruction on Van Buren Blvd. from City of Riverside limits (Pine Court) to Capella Street in the Woodcrest Community of Riverside. The crews will continue working to complete pavement delineations, manhole adjustments, and other improvements next week. Please observe construction warning signs, use caution, and follow traffic control staff’s directions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
