Crews have begun road improvements on Clark St from Martin St to Nandina Ave in the Mead Valley Community. Crews will be closing small segments of Clark St and detouring traffic between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM in order to prepare for the construction of concrete curb and gutter. Project Update--> Week of January 27, 2025
Crews are making progress on Gilman Springs Road construction south of Bridge Street and are on schedule to open the road in early February.
Work includes shoulder widening, wildlife fencing, drainage work, and installing a concrete center median.
Gilman Springs Road is open north of Bridge Street; motorists may detour around the closure using Ramona Expressway and Bridge Street.
The Riverside County Transportation Department is monitoring detour conditions and is adjusting the traffic signal accordingly at Bridge St. and Ramona Expressway.
Please drive with caution, avoid distracted driving, and plan for longer wait times in this area during construction.
Due to high wind events in the area, power outages are occurring to help prevent wildfires and may shut off traffic signals. All motorists are required to treat an intersection with an inoperable traffic signal as an all-way stop and may proceed with caution when safe to do so per California Vehicle Code Section 21800 (d) (1).

We are continuing with the road widening and new proposed sidewalk project on Oleander Avenue from Haines Street to Clark Street in the Community of Mead Valley. Pavement reconstruction and concrete improvements on Grant Street and Harlow Avenue in the Home Gardens area have been completed. The contractor is continuing concrete improvements on Indiana Avenue, from Grant Street to Hillview Drive.

Construction Update: Cornell Street – East Hemet
We have completed the concrete improvements and replaced the asphalt pavement on Cornell Street from Florida Avenue to Crest Drive Avenue in the Community of East Hemet.
The contractor is currently working on the asphalt driveway tie-ins and cleaning the project site. Traffic striping is scheduled for the second week of January 2025.
Please observe all construction warning signs, use caution, and follow the directions of the traffic control staff to ensure safety.
