Bridge Street at Ramona Expressway Traffic Signal - Weekly Status

The proposed traffic signal on Ramona Expressway at Bridge Street has resumed and scheduled to install Traffic Signal Poles and wiring this week. We are waiting for SCE to install service meters for the new proposed traffic signal & lighting system. Please observe construction warning signs. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Ramona Expressway at Bridge Street Signal - Weekly Status

The contractor resumed the construction this week due to other emergency construction projects. The traffic signal structures are being constructed. Bridge Street at Ramona Expressway is scheduled to close to through traffic on October 9 and 10 due to major road reconstruction. Please follow Detour signage and observe construction warning signs. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Ramona Expressway Median project update, March 21, 2023

The contractor has installed nearly 40% of the median and will continue to work easterly from Nuevo to Bridge Street. We will continue the construction from Lakeview Avenue to Bridge Street with a lane Closure Nightly from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM (weather permitting). Please use caution due to the newly raised median and obey traffic control personnel while traveling through the area.  #ramonamedian

***No work scheduled Monday, 3/20 to Wednesday 3/22 due to rain. Will resume Thursday 3/23 night and continue on Friday and Sunday nights.

Ramona Expressway Road opening delayed, morning of March 7

Construction on Ramona Expressway is expected to be finished after 8:15 a.m. this morning and the road will be open in both directions. We apologize for the delay in opening Ramona Expressway at 5 a.m. as planned due to unexpected field conditions. Construction will continue nightly through Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thank you for your patience.

Construction Completed - Ramon Expressway,

This project rehabilitated 9.25 miles of roadway on Ramona Expressway using a mixture of asphalt overlay, pavement reclamation, reconstruction and slurry seal. Additionally, the City of San Jacinto rehabilitated approximately 1 mile of the outer westbound lane of Ramona Expressway, between Warren Road and Sanderson Avenue, in San Jacinto. Construction Alert -Ramona Expressway - July 15 - August 2, 2021

July 15 - August 2, 2021 - Nighttime work continues from Rider Street to Warren Road. Plan for delays with single lane closures in the construction area.

Nighttime work, from 8PM to 5 AM, continues. Crews will be adding the rumble strip in the painted median, adding an asphalt curb, adding delineators between the painted median striping, and completing work on the shoulders and driveways from Rider Street to Warren Road. Slurry seal work will be completed from Fifth Street to West of Warren Road.

Construction begins Tuesday night, June 1, on the Riverside County Transportation

Department’s roadway rehabilitation and safety improvement project on Ramona Expressway.

Construction will continue seven-days-per-week through Summer 2021, with nighttime work

during weekdays and 48-hour weekend shifts.
