Ramona Expressway Median project update, March 21, 2023

The contractor has installed nearly 40% of the median and will continue to work easterly from Nuevo to Bridge Street. We will continue the construction from Lakeview Avenue to Bridge Street with a lane Closure Nightly from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM (weather permitting). Please use caution due to the newly raised median and obey traffic control personnel while traveling through the area.  #ramonamedian

***No work scheduled Monday, 3/20 to Wednesday 3/22 due to rain. Will resume Thursday 3/23 night and continue on Friday and Sunday nights.

Slurry Seal, Districts 4 & 5, Weekly Update March 20, 2023

The contractor is continuing with the Slurry Seal project for District 4 and 5 (From Thermal to Cabazon) with crack sealing and pavement repair. Ramona Expressway Road opening delayed, morning of March 7

Construction on Ramona Expressway is expected to be finished after 8:15 a.m. this morning and the road will be open in both directions. We apologize for the delay in opening Ramona Expressway at 5 a.m. as planned due to unexpected field conditions. Construction will continue nightly through Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thank you for your patience.

Ramona Expressway Median - Weekly Status

The contractor is ready to start the construction for Ramona Expressway Median from Rider Street (3/4 Miles east) towards Warren Road in the Community of Nuevo, Lakeview, and Gilman Springs.

Construction schedule next week: Sunday, March 5 at 8:00 PM until Friday, March 10 at 5 AM. Lane Closure Nightly from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM.

Please use caution and obey traffic control personnel while travelling through the area.

Slurry Seal - Weekly Status

Stetson Avenue update

Some of the existing concrete cross-gutter, spandrels, and curb ramps on Stetson Avenue have been replaced . We will continue the concrete placement work on Stetson Avenue from Evelyn Way towards Stanford Avenue in the East Hemet area. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and expect a little delay while travelling through the area. Thanks you for your patience.

Clinton Keith Road - Weekly Construction Notice Video

The proposed Clinton Keith Road from Leon Road to Winchester Road is continuing with various construction activities such as French Valley Creek Bridge, installation of Arch Culverts, drainage systems, and a new roadway structure including Winchester Road widening.  Note: Briggs Road from Leon Road to Los Alamos Road is permanently CLOSED.

Girard St. / Stetson Ave. / Acacia Ave. Project Update

Girard St.-

The construction of Valle Vista Library Parking Lot completed on Wednesday, 2/23/23. Acacia Avenue Drainage east of Grant Avenue in the Valle Vista Community is progressing slower due to rain events. This week weather permitting, the contractor is scheduled to start the removal & replacement of existing concrete cross-gutter, spandrels, curb ramps, and some driveways on Girard Street improvements from Stetson Avenue to Whittier Avenue in the East Hemet area. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, expect slight delays while travelling through the area. Thank you for your patience.

Stetson Ave. -

Due to Hemet High School Mid-Winter Break from February 21 to February 24, the contractor was able to start the concrete replacement and traffic signal modifications work front and adjacent to Hemet High School on February 21, 2023. This week weather permitting, the contractor is scheduled to start the removal & replacement of existing concrete cross-gutter, spandrels, and curb ramps on Stetson Avenue at Evelyn Way. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and expect slight delays while travelling through the area. Thank you for your patience.
