• We completed the weed abatement and asphalt repair throughout the project in Districts 1,2 and 3.

• We finished slurry seal in Morgan Hills area. Pavement Marking and first coat of striping has been applied in Morgan Hills area. The contractor will come back to apply second coat of striping latter. All BMPs (sandbags) in the area will be removed after striping process is completed.

• The contractor will continue with crack treatment with crack seal in Riverside area. For slurry seal, the contractor has crew#1 works in the Murrieta and Woodcrest area, crew#2 works in the Perris and Hemet area.

• The contractor has concrete crew work in the Highgrove area to repair/reconstruct curb ramps to comply with ADA standard.

• Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and follow traffic control staff’s directions while travelling through the work zone. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

• We completed slurry seal in the Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park. Striping in the Park was done.

• The contractor continues examining and marking locations to repair asphalt in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs area.

• This week, from Monday 9/30/2024 to Friday 10/4/2024, the contractor will continue to replace speed bumps, car stoppers, and signs in Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park per request form Park’s manager.

• The contractor will begin crack treatment with crack seal in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs area.

• Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and follow traffic control staff’s directions while travelling through the work zone. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Gilman Springs Road Shoulder and Median Widening Project  

ROAD CLOSED for 7 weeks beginning Saturday, Oct. 5 through Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 

Gilman Springs Road will be closed from north of Bridge Street to south of Alessandro Boulevard.

REMINDER: Nighttime lane closures planned Sunday—Thursday nights, through Oct. 3, 2024.  

TRAFFIC IMPACT 

Single nighttime lane closures are planned through Oct. 3, 2024. 

Sunday through Thursday nights  

8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning  

Expect one lane on Gilman Springs Road between Bridge Street and Alessandro Road to be closed for approximately ½ mile with one lane open to motorists during nighttime work.  A pilot vehicle will assist motorists through the construction zone.  

Please reduce speed and drive with caution through the construction zone.

Dillon Road and Bubbling Wells Road Reconstruction - Weekly Status

We completed pavement replacement and most improvements on Dillon Road from Bubbling Wells Road to Palm Drive and Bubbling Wells Road from Dillon Road to 20th Avenue in the Community of Southeast Desert Hot Springs area. Next week, crews are scheduled to continue with shoulder work and minor improvements. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and follow directions from traffic control personnel. If possible, please use alternate routes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Slurry Seal FY24-25 District 1, 2, 3 HEMET AREA UPDATE

Crews will have crack seal performed on Pourroy Rd from Benton Rd to Winchester Rd this Saturday 9/14 from 7am to 3:30 PM to avoid traffic impact to the school.

Additionally, Pourroy at Browning St will have ADA ramps replaced on Saturday.
