Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge - Weekly Status

We are continuing with the construction of Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge over French Valley Channel in the Community of French Valley. The bridge will cross a gap along Skyview Road where there is no existing road crossing at French Valley Channel. The bridge will provide a path between the French Valley Library, located on the northwest side of the bridge, and the Susan LaVorgna Elementary School, located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Skyview Road and Via Santiago/Algarve Avenue. It will provide multipurpose access for both pedestrians and bicyclists, with no vehicular travel other than access for emergency vehicles.


The contractor continues working on the falsework (temporary supporting structure for bridge construction).


Estimate completion: Summer 2026


No traffic impact. Will monitor and minimize construction noise to adjacent neighborhood. Thank you for your understanding.

Clark St Resurfacing and Sidewalk - Weekly Status

Clark Street Road Improvements – Mead Valley Community

Crews are continuing road improvement work on Clark Street between Martin Street and Nandina Avenue in the Mead Valley Community. During working hours (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM), Clark Street will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations in place while the existing asphalt pavement is removed.

Please follow posted detour and warning signs, use caution when driving through the area, and follow directions from traffic control staff. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve your community’s roads.

Pauba Road and De Luz Road - Weekly Status

As of Friday July 11th, at 6:00 PM, Pauba Rd is fully open to traffic. Starting this week of July 14th, the contractor will continue to work on drainage systems and the final retaining wall on Pauba Rd. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, and follow traffic staff’s directions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

De Luz Road Culvert Replacement: The contractor will resume work replacing multiple culverts on De Luz Rd starting July 14th. Roads will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations during working hours between Via Raquel and Camaron Rd. Please observe construction warning signs, use caution, and follow traffic control staff’s directions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

De Portola Road - Weekly Status

Construction Update: De Portola Road Drainage Improvements

Work continues on the De Portola Road Drainage Improvements project, located between Shiraz Way and approximately 650 feet north in the Temecula Valley Wine Country area of the Rancho California community in Riverside County.

Crews are currently constructing drainage structures in front of the wall and relocating a fire hydrant. Please watch for construction signs, follow directions from traffic control staff, and use extra caution when traveling through the area.

Good Hope Area and Theda Street - Weekly Status

Construction Update: Roadway Improvements in Good Hope

Roadway construction on Steel Peak Drive and Palm Street has been completed. Next, crews are scheduled to remove and replace the asphalt pavement on Theda Street from July 14 to July 18 in the Community of Good Hope.

Construction Update: Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge

Construction continues on the Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge over the French Valley Channel in the Community of French Valley. This new bridge will span the existing gap along Skyview Road, creating a connection between the French Valley Library (on the northwest side) and Susan LaVorgna Elementary School (at the southeast corner of Skyview Road and Via Santiago/Algarve Avenue).

The bridge is designed to provide safe, multipurpose access for pedestrians and bicyclists, while allowing emergency vehicle access onlyβ€”no regular vehicle traffic.

Crews are currently working on the falsework (temporary support structure) for the bridge.

Estimated completion: Summer 2026

There are no traffic impacts at this time. Construction noise will be monitored and minimized to reduce impact on nearby neighborhoods. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve connectivity in your community.

Thorton Avenue Resurfacing - Weekly Update

We are continuing the reconstruction of Thornton Avenue from Cornell Street to Soboba Street in the community of East Hemet of Riverside County. We completed all concrete improvements and side streets (tie-in) to new cross-gutter. Currently, contractor is reconstruction Thornton Avenue from Paseo Verde to Soboba Street. Please observe construction warning signs, use caution, and follow traffic control staff’s directions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Mecca Neighborhood Construction Notice - July 14-18, 2025

🚧🌳 Construction Update: Mecca Neighborhood Park & Greening Project 🌳🚧

From July 14–18, crews will continue building sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and installing irrigation systems throughout the project area.

βœ… All roadway lanes remain open, but shoulder lanes may be closed.

Pauba Road and De Luz Road - Weekly Status

Pauba Rd between Via Del Monte and Mesa Verde Circle is expected to re-open to traffic beginning Friday July 11th at 6:00 PM. Until that time, traffic detour route will follow Rancho California Rd. Please DO NOT ENTER β€œROAD CLOSED” areas. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs and detour signs, and follow traffic staff’s directions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.


De Luz Road Culvert Replacement: The contractor is temporarily suspending work on De Luz Rd. Crews are estimated to return to De Luz Rd within the next week. Please observe all construction warning signs and use caution when driving over steel-plated crossings.

Clark St Resurfacing & Sidewalk Project

🚧 Roadwork Update: Clark St, Mead Valley 🚧

Construction continues on Clark St between Martin St and Nandina Ave. Crews are installing sidewalks and drainage systems between Martin St and Oleander Ave, with small segments of Clark St closed and traffic detoured daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Paving is scheduled to begin Monday, July 14.

Please watch for detour and warning signs, follow directions from traffic control staff, and use caution in the area. We appreciate your patience as we improve your community!

De Portola Road Drainage - Weekly Status

Construction Update: De Portola Road Drainage Improvements

Work is ongoing on the De Portola Road Drainage Improvements project, located between Shiraz Way and approximately 650 feet north in the Temecula Valley Wine Country area of the Rancho California community in Riverside County.

Crews have completed the concrete and reinforced steel for the new decorative retaining wall and are currently working on the drainage structure in front of the wall.

Please note: There are multiple construction projects along De Portola Road. Eastern Municipal Water District is also working near Butterfield Stage Road.

Thornton Avenue Resurfacing - Weekly Status

Good Hope Area and Theda Street - Weekly Status

We are continuing with reconstructing asphalt pavement, and other improvements on Steele Peak Drive, Palm Street, Mountain Avenue, and Theda Street in Good Hope Community area.  Currently, the contractor is working on Steele Peak Drive and Palm Street. The roadway is narrow. Please slow down and observe construction warning signs while travelling through. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
