Stetson Ave project work continues

The contractor is scheduled to complete the replacement of existing asphalt pavement on Stetson Avenue from Hemet Street to Santa Fe Street in the East Hemet area this Monday 5/1/23. We are working on new traffic stripe, manhole adjustments, asphalt dike, and other minor work. Please continue to use caution, observe construction warning signs, and expect delays while traveling through the area. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Crews continue paving work today, Friday, April 28 and Monday, May 1 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Expect delays and please use Johnston Avenue as an alternate route.

Friday: from Madison Ct. to near San Jacinto St.

Monday: from San Jacinto St. to Santa Fe St. (end of project limit

Clinton Keith

The proposed Clinton Keith Road extension from Leon Road to Winchester Road is progressing as planned. The contractor is working on importing material for the roadway structure, building the concrete headwall of Arch Culverts, and concrete curb and sidewalk, traffic signal systems, and a new roadway structure including Winchester Road widening.  Note: Briggs Road from Leon Road to Los Alamos Road is permanently CLOSED.

Viejo Drive Gully Repair - Weekly Status

The contractor resumed the construction of the newly proposed drain and slope/gully on Grant Avenue in the Valle Vista Community. The project was on hold due to conflicts with actual field conditions. There is no major impact to traffic. Please be aware of trucks traffic on Grant Avenue south of Florida Avenue during normal working hours.

Girard Street Resurfacing, Caroline & Rosalie, Valle Vista Library, and Acacia Ave Drainage - Weekly Status

We completed the replacement of the existing pavement on Girard Street from Ramona Bowl Entrance to Florida Avenue in the East Hemet area.  The contractor is currently working on the shoulder, an asphalt Dike, tie-in asphalt driveways, and pavement delineations. Please continue to use caution while traveling through the area. Thanks you for your understanding and patience.

Slurry Seal FY 22-23, Dist. 4 & 5 - Weekly Status

The contractor completed slurry seal application, including all pavement delineations, to Desert Hot Springs area, Airport Blvd. (Thermal area), and Cabazon area. The project is temporarily suspended until May 14, 2023 due to low temperature at night for Reche Vista Drive, Reche Canyon Road and Gilman Hot Springs Road. Slurry Seal FY 22-23 Dist 1 & 2 - Weekly Status

Lake Elsinore area: Completed application of new slurry seal to Audelo Street, Patrick Court, and Monty Court on Saturday April 22, 2023. Scheduled to apply new slurry seal to neighborhood streets.

Coronita area: Continue to crack seal existing asphalt pavement on various streets and begin slurry application. Slurry Seal application for Paseo Grande Road was scheduled on Saturday, April 22, 2023 (partial completed and to be scheduled to complete to accommodate school traffic).

Home Gardens area: Completed replacement of concrete curb ramps.

Woodcrest area: Repair & prepare existing asphalt pavement for slurry seal application.

Ramona Expressway Median COMPLETE!

The contractor completed new proposed concrete median for Ramona Expressway Median from Rider Street (3/4 Miles easterly) towards Warren Road in the Community of Nuevo, Lakeview, and Gilman Springs. Please use caution due to new raised concrete median and obey traffic control personnel while travelling through the area. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

THANKS for your patience during this roadway construction project on Ramona Expressway.

#RivCoTrans installed a 22-inch-wide by 8-inch-high concrete center median on 8.5 miles of #RamonaExpressway from approximately ¾-of-a-mile east of Rider Street on  the west end, to Warren Road on the east end, to improve public safety. 

PLEASE continue to #DRIVEwithCARE #RamonaExpressway. 

NEXT UP: Bridge Street traffic signal installation, coming this summer.

The Flood Control District will be repairing stormdrain damaged from the recent storms starting next week.

Repairs on the East Ontario Ave Stormdrain Sinkhole can be expected:

Slurry Seal FY 22-23 Dist. 1 & 2

We completed concrete curb ramps in the Lake Elsinore area and Coronita areas. Upcoming work schedule as follows:

Lake Elsinore area: Pavement repairs to various streets and scheduled for the application of new slurry seal to Audelo Street, Patrick Court, and Monty Court on Saturday April 22, 2023.

Coronita area: Crack seal to existing asphalt pavement to various streets. Slurry Seal application for Paseo Grande Road is scheduled on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Home Gardens area: Replace concrete curb ramps.

Girard Street Resurfacing - Weekly Status 4/10/23

The contractor is continuing with the removal & replacement of the existing concrete cross-gutter, spandrels, curb ramps, and asphalt pavement on Girard Street improvements from Stetson Avenue towards Florida Avenue in the East Hemet area. There will be road closures to through traffic due to wide cross-gutter replacement work and pavement reconstruction. Please use caution, observe construction warning signs, follow detour signs, and expect delays while travelling through the area. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
