🚧 Project Update - Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge 🚧

We’re making steady progress on the Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge over the French Valley Channel in the Community of French Valley!


πŸŒ‰ This new bridge will span the current gap along Skyview Road, creating a vital connection between the French Valley Library πŸ“š (northwest side) and Susan LaVorgna Elementary School 🏫 (southeast corner of Skyview & Via Santiago/Algarve Ave).


πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸš΄ Designed for pedestrians and bicyclists, the bridge will offer safe, multipurpose accessβ€”only emergency vehicles will be permitted.


πŸ”§ Crews are actively installing steel and formwork, and the project remains on schedule.


πŸ“ Heads-up: Concrete placement will begin in the next two weeks, once cooler temperatures allow. Exact date/time to be announced. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Work on the Jurupa Grade Separation Project continues this weekend to support railroad construction.

Traffic Impacts
-Northbound Van Buren Boulevard – outside lane closed from 52nd Street to just north of Jurupa Connector Road
-6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day
-Expect delays and watch for large trucks entering and exiting the work area

Mecca Park & Greening Project Update

🌳 Mecca Park & Greening Project Update 🌳

Work continues on the Community of Mecca Park and Greening Project, which will bring 175 new trees, a full irrigation system, and a beautiful new park at 2nd Ave., Hammond Rd., and 66th Ave.

Crews are currently:

βœ… Installing curb & gutter

βœ… Building sidewalks

βœ… Grading the park area

βœ… Installing irrigation on various streets

πŸ’‘ Note: Due to high temperatures, crews are starting work at 5:00 AM.

⚠️ Please follow construction warning signs and use caution in the area.

Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge Update

🚧 Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge Update – French Valley 🚧

Construction is moving forward on the new pedestrian bridge over French Valley Channel! This bridge will connect the French Valley Library to Susan LaVorgna Elementary School, providing a safe path for both pedestrians and bicyclists, with emergency vehicle access only.

Crews are currently building the falsework (temporary support structure) and the project is on schedule for completion in Summer 2026.

πŸ”‡ We’ll continue to monitor and minimize construction noise for nearby residents

North Shore Road Reconstruction Update

🚧 Road Reconstruction Update – North Shore/Desert Beach 🚧

We’ve officially started the reconstruction of 68th Ave., 70th Ave., 72nd Ave., Bay Dr., Commerce St., Compass Dr., Seaview Dr., and Vander Veer Rd.

Crews are currently working on new concrete improvements, with the project expected to be complete by November/December 2025.

⚠️ Please watch for construction warning signs and use caution when traveling through the area. Thank you for your patience as we make these important upgrades!
