Slurry Seal Schedule, Week 6

๐Ÿšง Upcoming Slurry Seal Work ๐Ÿšง

From October 6โ€“10, 2025, slurry seal maintenance will take place in the communities of Mockingbird, Riverside, Lake Hills, and Lake Mathews.

โœ… The exact construction date for each street will be posted on the Countyโ€™s website.

โœ… Residents will receive notifications, and notices will also be posted curbside.

Please follow construction warning signs and use caution when traveling through the area. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our roads!

Project Update - Mecca Neighborhood Park and Greening

Weโ€™re making steady progress on the new park and greening initiative at the corner of 2nd Ave, Hammond Rd, and 66th Ave! This exciting project will bring 175 new trees ๐ŸŒฒ, a full irrigation system, and a vibrant new park space to the Community of Mecca.

Curb & gutter construction


Sidewalk installation ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ


Park area grading


Irrigation system setup across various streets

Heads up, drivers!

Crews will be placing crack seal on Cajalco Road next week between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

๐Ÿšง Skyview Road Pedestrian Bridge - Project Update ๐ŸŒ‰

Construction is moving forward on the new bridge over French Valley Channel in the Community of French Valley! ๐ŸŒ‰

 

This bridge will connect the French Valley Library to Susan LaVorgna Elementary School, creating a safe path for walkers and bikers. Emergency vehicles will have access, but no regular traffic.

Crews are continuing reconstruction work on 68th Ave., 70th Ave., 72nd Ave., Bay Dr., Commerce St., Compass Dr., Seaview Dr., and Vander Veer Rd. Estimated completion is November/December 2025.

CLOSURE ALERT - WB Ramona Expressway (W) of Lakeview Ave

County crews have a hard closure on WB Ramona Expressway (W) of Lakeview Ave. Traffic Signal is all-way red flash, and cars are being detoured SB on Lakeview Ave.


County crews from the traffic signal section are working at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Hasen Ave/Davis Rd. * A traffic collision that occurred early this morning damaged the traffic signal cabinet. Crew are in the process of replacing the damaged equipment. Traffic signal is dark, however stops signs are deployed.


Alternative routes: Gilman Springs Rd, Hwy 74 and or Lambs Canyon.

Road improvements are underway on Clark St, from Martin St to Nandina Ave.

Weโ€™ve started our Slurry Seal & Curb Ramp Replacement Project across several streets in Riverside County. Work runs from August 4 to December 2025.

Nuevo (District 5)


Woodcrest (District 2) Crews are applying slurry seal, sealing cracks, and removing old striping.
