Intermittent side street closures, Cajalco Road lane closure planned.
Brown Street will be closed south of Cajalco Road to Souder Street on Thursday, May 28, 7AM to 5PM. Please follow the detour on Souder Street to Alexander Street or use Elmwood Street to Clark Street. Please drive slowly and with caution through the neighborhood.
The closure is necessary to complete cross gutter work in the intersection of Brown Street & Cajalco Road.

Intermittent Side Street Closures
As crews are working on the Cajalco Road project during the next few weeks, motorists should expect intermittent closures on side streets between Alexander & Day streets. Please see flyers below for more information.

Crews are paving the northbound I-215 freeway lanes in the project area with intermittent closures Monday through Thursday nights, April 20-23, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The southbound lanes will be paved Friday night from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m., and Monday through Wednesday nights next week from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews are also finishing civil and electrical work to open the loop ramps on Thursday morning, April 23. Please note, only the new loop ramps will be open to motorists, the existing northbound off-ramp and southbound on-ramp will be closed for construction through April 30. Scott Road will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday night, April 22 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The Clark Street sidewalk project is finished! The $1.1 million project, from Rider Street to nearly Cajalco Road, began in February and was completed by April 2020.
The project features a new sidewalk on the east side of the street and a newly striped two-way turn lane to provide a safe lane for vehicles making left turns from Clark Street.
Weather permitting, construction will begin on the Cajalco Road Safety & Rehabilitation project between Alexander and Day streets in the Community of Mead Valley, near the city of Perris. Daily work hours are from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M, and single lane closures are expected. Motorists who use Cajalco Rad to commute are encouraged to use an alternate route.
Weather permitting, work continues on the new 1-215 northbound loop off-ramp and southbound loop on-ramp. All the concrete paving is completed and crews are installing the guardrail, rock blanket for erosion control, and completing lighting and the drainage system. Motorists may notice new signage for the ramps in preparation for an early Spring opening. Work will also be completed on the I-215 in the center median and along the new loop ramp merge lanes where crews are completing slope paving on the east and west sides of the bridge. Construction Update On Scott Road, crews will continue working on the final curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, signs, electrical signals and finish grading work.

On Tuesday & Wednesday nights, Nov. 5 and 6, Gilman Springs Road will be closed from SR-60 to Highway 79, from 8pm until 5am the following morning.
Nighttime Scott Road lane closure Friday and Saturday.
No planned freeway lanes or ramp closures
One lane on Scott Road near both Antelope and Haun roads will be closed between 8 pm and 5 am on Friday and Saturday nights, October 4 and 5. One lane will remain open for through traffic. There are no freeway lane or ramp closures expected this week.
During daytime work hours, crews will continue working on the barrier fence, placing concrete and continue installing the rock blanket near the southbound off-ramp at Scott Road. Crews also will continue placing concrete for the new sidewalk, curb and gutter on Scott Road and continue earthwork and hauling operations for the new loop ramps.

The contractor continues to work on storm drains, utility relocations, curb & gutter, and street paving along Temescal Canyon Road from Dawson Canyon Road to Dos Lagos Drive.
Current Construction and Traffic Restrictions:
Various utility and storm drain locations along the street are being worked on. Traffic flagging operations will direct traffic as needed to allow crews to work on the street at various locations.
Dirt is being placed behind the retaining wall south of Dos Lagos Drive.
Sidewalk, curb and gutter are being installed at various locations throughout the project area.
On Saturday, September 28, paving along the west side of Temescal Canyon Road north of Dawson Canyon Road
will be placed. Street lanes will not be closed for this work. On September 30, traffic will be switched to the newly paved west side of Temescal Canyon Road north of Dawson Canyon Road.
Nighttime Lane Closure on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, 8 PM - 5 AM.
On Wednesday night, one lane will be closed for approximately one mile on Gilman Springs Road between Alessandro Boulevard and Bridge Street. The remainder of Gilman Springs Road will be open.
A flagging operation will be in place to direct vehicles through the work zone. Please plan for delays and drive carefully in the construction area.
The closure is planned for one night so crews can grind asphalt on a rough area of the road to provide a smoother ride for motorists.
