Slurry Seal FY 22-23, District 4 & 5 Weekly Status, week ending March 30, 2023 - The contractor is actively applying slurry seal to the Desert Hot Springs area and is scheduled to install pavement delineations this upcoming week to complete the slurry seal areas. Southbound traffic flagging, crews will work on the shoulder.

EXTENDED WORK HOURS:

BEGINNING MONDAY, APRIL 3, 2023 - through project completion, expected winter 2023/2024.

Monday - Friday, some planned Saturday work.

5 a.m. - 10 p.m.

To maintain the current schedule for the Hamner Avenue Bridge and Widening Project, the contractor will extend working hours beginning April 3, 2023. Crews will make every effort to minimize disruption to the nearby neighbors, motorists and community.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Neighbors and motorists can expect usual noise associated with construction including large machinery motors running, back-up alerts and crews communicating. Overhead lighting will be in place for evening operations.

Construction Notice, Week of April 3-7, 2023, Clinton Keith Road Extension Project

Week of April 3-7, 2023 - Crews will continue working on the culvert, on the bridge structure & widen SR-79 lanes.

The proposed Clinton Keith Road from Leon Road to Winchester Road is continuing slow due to recent rain events and site conditions. The contractor is to resume, normal weather permitting, with planned construction activities such as French Valley Creek Bridge, installation of Arch Culverts, drainage systems, traffic signal systems, and the new roadway structure including Winchester Road widening.  Note: Briggs Road from Leon Road to Los Alamos Road is permanently CLOSED.

Ramona Expressway Median - Weekly Status

The contractor completed about 65% of new proposed concrete median for Ramona Expressway Median from Rider Street (3/4 Miles easterly) towards Warren Road in the Community of Nuevo, Lakeview, and Gilman Springs. We will continue the construction from Bridge Street towards Warren Road with a lane Closure Nightly from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM (weather permitting). Please use caution due to new raised median and obey traffic control personnel while travelling through the area.

The contractor has installed nearly 40% of the median and will continue to work easterly from Nuevo to Bridge Street. We will continue the construction from Lakeview Avenue to Bridge Street with a lane Closure Nightly from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM (weather permitting). Please use caution due to the newly raised median and obey traffic control personnel while traveling through the area.  #ramonamedian
